What to Expect

 

First Visit

Upon entering our clinic, you will be asked to fill out a few short forms, unless you have already done so.  We often direct you to our website so you can print off and complete the forms prior to coming in for your first appointment.  We will then have you watch a short video on chiropractic care.  For patients who are new to this form of healthcare, this offers a great introduction to the “whats”, “whys” and “how” chiropractic care can help you.  For veterans of chiropractic care, it’s a great review.

 

Next, the doctor will sit with you and discuss the reason for your visit and gather more information regarding your health history.  He will then perform a thorough examination including a full posture check, motion analysis and a spinal exam.  If necessary, we may also order a set of x-rays to further assist in the diagnosis of your specific problem.

 

Finally, we will discuss our findings and how we may be able to help you.  In some cases, this will be accomplished in your follow-up visit if additional studies such as x-rays or an MRI are required.  We will offer you our best recommendations based on our experience and knowledge of current medical science.  The decision on how we proceed is then up to you.  We are here to help you in any way we can.
 

Regular visits

These are much shorter, but highly focused visits.  Now that the groundwork has been set, your visit will involve our reassessing your spine and nervous system for specific corrections. We will also review any supportive measures such as home care, stretches, postural corrections, etc. that can facilitate the healing process.  

 

Just like exercise, it is very important to maintain your treatment schedule as each series of adjustments build upon the prior ones.  If you miss an appointment, we can lose momentum in the healing process which slows your recovery.

We will be more than happy to submit all insurance forms for you and help you recover the benefits that your care plan allows.  We will do everything we can to make the treatment you need and want affordable.  Forms of payment accepted by our office includes cash, checks and all major credit cards.
